Firefighters tackled a car fire on the Orwell Bridge.
Two crews were called to the blaze which broke out at 12.35pm yesterday (April 7).
Using two hose reels, they brought the flames under control.
Drivers reported long-tailbacks because of the fire.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was dealt with by 12.50pm.
