POLICE last night closed one lane of the A14 after a lorry collided with a bridge, sending debris scattering across the carriageway.
POLICE last night closed one lane of the A14 after a lorry collided with a bridge, sending debris scattering across the carriageway.
The incident happened at 8.45pm on the westbound carriageway of the A14. Police said the lorry hit the bridge before coming to a stop a few metres beyond it.
No one was injured and a clear-up operation was completed by 2.45am to clear the road of debris. Structural engineers and the Highways Agency also assessed the damage to the bridge.
