Our Throwback Thursday series continues as we look back to November 1994 which features the Cliff Quay towers being demolished, Bonfire night in Christchurch Park and Santa making his way through the town centre.
The Cliff Quay power station had been closed down since 1985 and in 1994 the station was ultimately demolished with the three chimneys coming down together which provided a spectacle for many on lookers.
1994 also signified 150 years of the Co-op being in business, so to mark the occasion a concert was held at the Corn Exchange with a live orchestra and it included many performers that had done shows with the co-op juniors.
At the beginning of November, skies were illuminated with the sights of fireworks as bonfire night rolled by with Christchurch Park playing host to such an occasion for the residents of Ipswich.
And finally, as Christmas light switch-ons kick off the Christmas shopping many flock to the high street to get the presents in for the big day.
