THE weather forecast is looking good for Saturday's Evening Star/ 11th Ipswich Scouts fireworks spectacular at Christchurch Park in Ipswich.

"We are in touch with the weather centre at Bracknell and they have said the weather is looking very promising," said David Savidge, one of the organisers of the massive event.

More than 32,000 people are expected to go along for the big event, with gates opening at 6pm and the display starting at 8pm.

Pyrotechnics wizards Shell Shock will be firing a breathtaking £32,000 firework display set to music, as the centrepiece of an evening of family entertainment. All proceeds are going to charity.

And Remember, Remember! Now's your last chance to buy your tickets in advance, and save 33 per cent on the prices charged on the night. Advance tickets will only be available tomorrow – but not on Saturday.

Advance tickets cost £4 for adults and £2.50 for children aged five to 15, and are available from the following outlets: The Evening Star offices in Lower Brook Street and Adcentre Solar Felixstowe.

Tower Ramparts Shopping Centre, Ipswich; Ipswich Entertainments Box Office, Princes Street; Sainsbury's, all Ipswich stores; Keith Avis, High Street, and their store in Buyright Superstore, Hadleigh; United News, Thoroughfare and Turban Centre, Woodbridge; Tourist Information Centres at St Stephen's Lane, Ipswich and Wilkes Way, Stowmarket.

Advance tickets will not be on sale on Saturday, when admission is only available by paying cash on the gate. The price on the night is £6 for adults and £4 for children.
