Two drug dealers who were involved in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine have been locked up for a total of more than six years.

Before Ipswich Crown Court today were Carl Mowles, 43, of Wells Road, Ipswich, and Mickell Douglas, 20, of London, who each pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Douglas also admitted being in breach of a suspended prison sentence for possessing heroin with intent to supply.

Sentence on the last occasion was adjourned until today to allow Douglas to be legally represented.

Mowles was jailed for 28 months and Douglas was sentenced to a total of four years in a young offenders’ institution.

Michael Crimp, prosecuting, said Douglas had come from London with drugs and Mowles had been recruited to deal them on the street
