Tyren Brooks, 27, formerly of Campion Road in Ipswich, and 27-year-old Colin Weeding of no fixed address, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit burglary during a trial at Ipswich Crown Court in August.

Among the crimes were robberies at Dales Road Post Office, Coral bookmakers in Stoke Park Drive, and the robbery of a G4S driver in Lovetofts Drive, as well as preparatory offences including a home burglary, and theft of motorbikes, fuel and numberplates all committed between March 3 and May 2 2015.

The pair were among a group sentenced last year, with Weeding handed a 12-year jail sentence while Brooks was jailed for 17 years.

On Tuesday, the pair appeared at Ipswich Crown Court where they were given the SCPOs, which aim to restrict the opportunities for further offences.

The orders restrict both men to only owning one mobile phone each and to hold no more than £500 in cash at any given time.

They must notify local authorities of any vehicle they possess as well as the relevant insurance details, and are unable to drive a moped or motorcycle or enter any gambling premises in England or Wales.

A statement issued by Suffolk police following the hearing said that the orders will be in place for five years beginning from the date of their release.

A Suffolk Constabulary spokeswoman added that the order also covers “a number of areas including restrictions on the possession of cash, mobile phones, vehicles and association with co-defendants in the case, all designed to prevent the commission of further offences.”

The pair must make police aware of their living arrangements and any changes to this during the period of the order being in place.

The Post Office burglary happened on March 23 2015 in which £3,000 was stolen while the Coral burglary on April 10 2015 featured two men threatening staff with a knife and taking more than £900. The security van robbery took place on May 1 when a man cut the wrist of a security guard before taking £1,000.
