The parents of a 15-year-old missing girl from Ipswich have made an emotional appeal for her to come home.

Beyonce Turay was last seen at her home in Norwich Road at 3.30pm on Monday, June 18.

She is believed to have boarded a train at Ipswich station and travelled into London.

Her mother and father, Dionne Staples and Isaac Turay, spoke to this newspaper about their anguish.

Miss Staples has this message for her daughter: “I love you, I’m waiting for you to come home and I’m doing everything I can to find you because you won’t tell me you are OK and I’m not going to give up until I find you.”

Miss Staples hopes her daughter’s name and its link to global superstar Beyonce Knowles will help her be found.

“With a name like Beyonce she will be spotted and people will know who she is,” she added.

Miss Staples said her daughter was believed to have got on the train from Ipswich to Stratford in London on Monday.

Beyonce is also thought to have visited the Dagenham and Peckham areas of the capital since her disappearance.

Her father, Isaac Turay, said: “She knows we love her and she’s got everything here – we just want her to come home.”

He added: “She’s a 15-year-old girl putting herself in danger.”

Mr Turay said Beyonce had gone missing in the past, but he feared this time she was in real danger.

“I’m scared she’s not going to come home,” Mr Turay said.

The parents both said they felt like their pleas to the authorities for help protecting Beyonce had been ignored.

Miss Staples questioned why it took Suffolk Constabulary five days to release a missing person appeal to the public.

A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said each missing person case was assessed individually and the police response depended on a number of factors, including age, vulnerability and whether they had been missing before.

He added: “This may mean we do not feel it is necessary to immediately issue a public appeal unless there is an immediate danger to life.”

Beyonce is described as black, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build and with dark brown shoulder length hair with a top knot.

She was last seen wearing light blue ripped jeans, a black and white Nike tracksuit top and white and grey Nike trainers.

Anyone who may have seen Beyonce or knows of her whereabouts should call police on 101.
