FORMER members of staff at an Ipswich bank are planning to get together on the 25th anniversary of its opening in the town.
Williams and Glyn's Bank opened its doors in the Buttermarket on February 14, 1977.
The bank has always been part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group, and in 1985 it changed its name to become the Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
In September 1989, the branch relocated to its impressive site in Princes Street – a move which was completed over one weekend.
The anniversary party will take place on Friday in the Wolsey Restaurant at the County Hotel, Copdock from 7pm until midnight.
Neil Hepburn, the branch's original manager will be there to share memories as will his successor Geoffrey Townson.
The Evening Star will be at the reunion and would be pleased to see any old staff pictures.
