COACH passengers have been injured after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a fire engine on the way to an emergency call.The coach was thought to have contained more than 50 passengers from the London area when it hit a fire engine in Clacton which was on its way to a grass fire.
COACH passengers have been injured after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a fire engine on the way to an emergency call.
The coach was thought to have contained more than 50 passengers from the London area when it hit a fire engine in Clacton which was on its way to a grass fire.
None of the fire crew received injuries and those injured on the coach were not thought to be seriously ill.
The incident happened at 4.22pm today and the firefighters remained at the scene to offer first aid and make the vehicles safe.
A second appliance was mobilised to deal with the grass fire and Essex Fire Service has expressed its sympathies to all those involved in the accident.
A full investigation into the accident will be carried out by the police and the fire service.
