The second Paws with a Cause dog walk took place at Glemham Hall at the weekend, raising vital funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

More than 70 dogs and their owners took part in the walk around the hall’s beautiful grounds on Sunday morning.

Last year, the event raised more than £4,000 for the charity and organisers, who are still totting up the money collected, but hope it will raise even more this year.

Sophie Mathew, Suffolk fundraising manager at EAAA, said the event was a lot of fun.

“It is raising awareness, as well as being a fundraising event, she said.

“We’ve all been out on the A14 in traffic and see the big yellow helicopter coming over.

“I think there’s a natural affinity between dog walkers and people who walk in the countryside with the charity.

“People who go out walking in rural areas really understand why we need an air ambulance.

“Paws with a Cause is such a fun day out and we were so lucky with the weather this year.

“It is just amazing how much support there is for the air ambulance.”
