A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries after being in a collision with a cyclist in Ipswich.
Police were called at 5.40pm to Crown Street in the town following the incident.
A force spokesman said the man was conscious and breathing before he “took a turn for the worse” and became unconscious at the scene.
But before an ambulance crew took him to Ipswich Hospital he regained consciousness, the spokesman added.
His family has been informed.
