A PEEPING Tom is awaiting sentence at Ipswich Crown Court after he videoed a child through her bedroom window.

James Dundas, of Orwell Gardens, Ipswich, admitted four counts of taking indecent photographs of a child over a period of 18 months, between January 1 2001 and July 8 last year.

Dundas, 46, was filming the girl, aged under 16, when she had the light on in her bedroom and was waiting for her to undress, said prosecutor David Taylor.

The youngster was using her window as a mirror and was oblivious to his antics, South East Suffolk Magistrates were told.

"Quite a lot of the film showed her just in her bedroom," said Mr Taylor. But he added Dundas was waiting for the child to take her top off, which she did on four occasions.

The court heard the child's mother viewed the video footage. Looking at the décor and the layout of the room she said the filming must have taken place over 18 months.

Dundas, pictured above, looked emotionless throughout the short hearing in Ipswich.

After hearing the facts of the case magistrates adjourned to view the five-minute long video-tape.

Bench chairman Mark Wade told Dundas: "Having looked at the video we feel these matters should be heard before a judge at the Crown Court."

The case was adjourned for sentence at the higher court. A date has yet to be set.
