Pensioner accused of cutting phone lines

A PENSIONER is due to appear at court next month to face charges of criminal damage to telephone cables.

A PENSIONER is due to appear at court next month to face charges of criminal damage to telephone cables.

It is alleged David Price of Brick Kiln Lane in Melton damaged telephone cables at Ellingers level crossing in Melton.

The 71-year-old is alleged to have cut the phone lines on September 10 2008.

At Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday the date for Mr Price's trial was set for March 24.
