A 73-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after her car collided with trees off the Ipswich-bound A12 near Stratford St Mary.The incident was reported shortly after 10.30am.
A 73-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after her car collided with trees off the Ipswich-bound A12 near Stratford St Mary.
The incident was reported shortly after 10.30am, and an ambulance and air ambulance were sent to the scene.
Aircrew Paramedic Lee Marsh said: “The woman's car had left the road and collided with some trees. The vehicle had very extensive damage, and the driver was left trapped.
“She had a fracture to her right wrist, an injury to her left arm, pain in her chest and a serious laceration to her right knee.”
The driver was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
