POLICE are appealing for help after a 74-year-old man was knocked to the ground and his car stolen in an Ipswich road.At around 8am yesterday morning, the victim drove his silver Vauxhall Astra along Rendlesham Road to deliver a newspaper.
POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery in Ipswich where a 74-year-old man had his car stolen from him.
At around 8am yesterday morning, the victim drove his silver Vauxhall Astra along Rendlesham Road to deliver a newspaper.
The man stopped his car in the street and left the engine running.
As he left his vehicle, he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground.
The offender got into the car and reversed along Rendlesham Road into Bramford Road and then drove off in an out of town direction.
Although left shaken by his ordeal, the pensioner was not hurt.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or knows the whereabouts of the silver Vauxhall Astra, registration FL54 HVV.
