PENSIONERS at an Ipswich residential home had the shock of their lives when a car crashed into the building.A Nissan Micra was being driven out of the jetwash at the BP garage in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, when its 72-year-old driver lost control and veered into the brick wall of Kent Lodge Rest Home.
PENSIONERS at an Ipswich residential home had the shock of their lives when a car crashed into the building.
A Nissan Micra was being driven out of the jetwash at the BP garage in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, when its 72-year-old driver lost control and veered into the brick wall of Kent Lodge Rest Home.
The car was embedded into the wall following the accident at about 3.30pm yesterday. Firefighters were called to remove it while builders arrived to repair the damage to the building.
The female driver was taken to hospital but was believed to have only minor injuries.
