A PENSIONER riding a bicycle was taken to hospital by air ambulance today after he was struck by a lorry.

The accident happened in Stoke Road, Layham, at 3.08pm.
Police said the 70-year-old man had suffered head injuries which were not believed to be serious. They said he had not broken any bones and was being treated at Ipswich Hospital.
The road was closed for more than two hours.
