Perfume thief and prolific Ipswich shoplifter Edgaras Alejunas jailed for 34 weeks

A prolific Ipswich shoplifter has been jailed for 34 weeks after committing a string of thefts.
Edgaras Alejunas, of Burrell Road, Ipswich, pleaded guilty to five thefts from shops, and possessions of cannabis when he appeared before the town’s magistrates.
The 25-year-old also admitted being in breach of a suspended prison sentence and failing to comply with a supervision order.
He had previously been spared jail after stealing 10 packets of coffee from Sainsbury’s and committing other thefts.
Alejunas’ latest offences occurred when he stole 17 bottles of perfume worth £595 from Wilkinson’s in Ipswich on June 6.
He also stole hair straighteners from the same store on June 2.
On June 8 Alejunas pilfered food valued at £94.47 from the Co-op in Ulster Avenue.

He went to the same store on April 16 and took coffee worth £47.88, after stealing food from the Co-op priced at £70.17 on March 18.
Alejunas was also found to be in possession of cannabis on August 30 last year.
