Services have been suspended from East Anglia into London after someone was hit by a train and sadly died.
Several services from Ipswich, Colchester and Chelmsford will all be affected after a person was hit by a Transport For London train between Goodmayes and Ilford.
British Transport Police attended the scene at Seven Kings just before 10.30am today with help from an air ambulance.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called to Seven Kings station at 10.29am this morning (02/01) after reports of a person being struck a train.
“Colleagues from the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service also attended, however a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are working to identify the person and inform their family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner. “
All lines were blocked between Goodmayes and Ilford following the accident.
They have since been re-opened and train lines will shortly be able to leave London back through Ilford.
However services still may be delayed, suspended or even cancelled up until 2pm today.
