Person taken to hospital after concerns for welfare in Christchurch Park reported to police

A person has been taken to hospital after an incident in Christchurch Park in Ipswich this morning.
Suffolk police were called to Christchurch Park by a member of the public who was concerned for another person’s welfare at around 8.45am this morning.
On arrival, police officers called for assistance from crews from the East of England Ambulance Service.
One person has been taken to hospital.
Further details on their condition have not yet been confirmed by the emergency services.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “It was a concern for safety [call]. Someone was taken to hospital.
“We were the first on the scene and called an ambulance.”

One member of the public contacted this newspaper this morning to report a police and paramedic presence in Christchurch Park, in Ipswich town centre, this morning.
It is reported that a number of people in the park at the time assisted police with the incident.
