A SUFFOLK child sex pervert's wife has put a parental block on their home computer to curtail her husband's sadistic addiction, a court heard.

Adrian Boss, an accomplished handyman, admitted trawling the internet for the worst images of pornography he could find, which included the abuse of animals, including a horse, and children as young as three.

Ipswich Crown Court heard the 45-year-old's wife was standing by him, despite his admission to having no empathy for the child victims during the making of pictures and videos he downloaded on to disks at their Hethersett Way home in Red Lodge, near Newmarket.

Simon Spence, mitigating said: “As a condition of her standing by her husband she has put in a procedure so she has passwords to areas of the internet and any material that would be accessible to anyone 18 or above is automatically blocked to Mr Boss.

“They have in effect put in place their own type of sexual prevention order.”

Boss pleaded guilty to 16 charges of making indecent photographs of a child and to one offence of possessing such images.

Robert Sadd, prosecuting, said Boss had 196 movies depicting child abuse.

He said there were 46 images showing the worst abuse at level five, 538 at level four, 112 at level two and 2,007 at level one.

Mr Sadd said: “He said he was looking for items on the internet. He said 'I knew the most heinous child sex pictures would be on there and I was just looking for the worst possible I could find'. He was seeking and did obtain the worst child abuse imagery and it is plain the children must have suffered.”

The court heard that one of the videos found in Boss' collection included sexual activity with a horse.

Mr Sadd said: “The context was, he was explaining with some candour, he was addicted to such porn and was trying to find the worst images of it rather than engaging with the animals himself.”

Mr Spence urged Judge John Devaux to pass a suspended sentence with unpaid work attached as Boss was a “very accomplished handyman of previous good character”.

Judge Devaux jailed Boss for ten months, disqualified him from ever working with children and ordered him to remain on the sex offenders' register for ten years.

Judge Devaux added: “The children were aged between three and 12 years and you are said to have no empathy for them.

“They suffered pain and distress and by seeking such images you are encouraging others to make such material.”
