Budding photographers in Kesgrave have been capturing the best of the town and its landscape in a special competition.

Tying in with the Big Lunch Fun Day on Saturday, Kesgrave Photography Group were approached by the town council to run a competition for the event.

The group chose the theme of ‘Capture Kesgrave’ and presented the entries for a special display at the event.

During the day, Will LeMay was announced as the winner for his shot of the Ropes Drive roundabout with Hartree Way.

Competition organiser and photography group member Meghan Whincop said: “When the competition went live, the buzz was good, people were interested in not only being part of the event, but the ability to take a photo of what made them think of Kesgrave.

“The entries this time, were just as amazing and great as before.

“I was very pleased when I received them, as it shows me that the public following the page have the inspiration to go out and take the photos when we post what the competition is.

“It is nice to be part of this day as it brings us closer to the community, allows us to feel like the work we are doing is working and is appreciated.

“It also means that at the event we can talk to fellow residents and convince them that they may want to become a part of this competition too.”
