The University of Suffolk's first cohort of photography students are auctioning off some of their superb snaps to raise cash for gallery space in London.
In addition to prints the students have produced, the group also contacted a various local artists and photographers to donate their work for the auction.
All the money raised from the auction will go towards funding an exhibition at 5th Base Gallery in Shoreditch - covering costs hiring the venue, printing leaflets and posters, exhibition catalogues, transport and refreshments for guests.
The auction takes place at the University’s Waterfront Building on Wednesday April 26 with viewings from 2pm, registration from 5.30pm and the auction kicking off at 6.30pm.
Photography student Ryan Edge said setting up the auction and London exhibition was a hugely useful experience in how to get their artwork viewed by a wide audience.
He said: “There are 15 of us organising the event.
“At the auction we will have around 70 to 80 lots up for sale including the artwork from the students.
“It is great to get the support from local artists and photographers too.”
