Memories of a now demolished Ipswich School have come flooding back to one reader of Kindred Spirits.
Your features are bringing back lots of old memories. Now at eighty-six years young I can go back a good way. I was born at 31 Bell Lane in 1928. I lived there until I was ten and then moved to Whitton.
I was a pupil at Wherstead Road School, which has been demolished.
Mr T Scrivener, Heron Road, Ipswich
Mr Scrivener was a pupil at Wherstead Road School which stood between Station Street and Kenyon Street. This photograph was taken in around 1910. Housing now stands on this site. Can you tell us more about this school? Email David Kindred
