A light aircraft pilot was today airlifted to Ipswich Hospital after his plane came down in the sea off Orfordness. It was heading for Clacton airfield in Essex.
A light aircraft pilot was today airlifted to Ipswich Hospital after his plane came down in the sea off Orfordness. It was heading for Clacton airfield in Essex.
The pilot was the only person on board the plane and was rescued by a search and rescue helicopter from Wattisham airbase.
A Russian vessel was standing by to offer help, but was not needed.
