A SEARCH and rescue crew, based at Wattisham airfield, were called to help after a light aircraft crashed into houses in Kent.The helicopter was deployed this afternoon following the incident in Biggin Hill, however on arrival, the crew discovered their assistance was not needed.
A LIGHT plane has crashed into houses in a Kent town, police have revealed.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash in a street in Farnborough but it is not yet known if there are any casualties.
Police were called just before 2.40pm after residents reported hearing a loud noise and seeing smoke pouring from the wreckage.
