FELIXSTOWE: Always being busy people and never finding time to quarrel were cited by platinum wedding couple Cliff and Madeline Hall as part of the reason for 70 years of happy marriage.
The couple were treated to a family celebration – with relatives coming from far and wide to wish them all the best on their amazing anniversary.
Cliff, now 94, and Madeline, 91, met in 1937, in Hornchurch, on a double date arranged by Madeline’s sister Gladys.
Madeline had been a bit reluctant to tag along but her reluctance changed to eagerness, describing Cliff as a “blond-haired god” when she set eyes on him.
