JUST four days after a ball broke his wrist while he watched Ipswich Town play, things are looking up for 15-year-old Aden Clarke.

JUST four days after a ball broke his wrist while he watched Ipswich Town play, things are looking up for 15-year-old Aden Clarke.

Not only did he get complimentary tickets to see Ipswich Town smash in eight goals against Avenir Beggen on Thursday night, he also had the chance to meet one of his Ipswich Town favourites, midfielder Jermaine Wright.

And the soccer star also pledged to solve the mystery of who kicked the ball.

The gesture was organised by the football club when bosses found out about Aden's unfortunate accident.

Sporting an Ipswich Town blue cast, Aden, of Campbell Road, Ipswich, said: "I was really pleased to get the tickets and it was good to meet Jermaine. I don't what my friends will think of all this, but I expect they will mention it. I will find out when I get back to school."

His brother Paul, 19, also of Campbell Road, Ipswich, recalled the moment when the ball struck Aden's hand midway through the second half of Ipswich Town's match with Bradford City, on Monday .

He said: "I did not believe him when he thought he had broken it. I was very surprised when I found out that he had. He didn't cry or anything, so I thought he must be okay. I just thought he had bruised it or something.

"It is really nice of the club to have done though, we both really appreciate it."

Jermaine Wright added: "It is just one of those things, it is very unfortunate. We have given him a nice gesture and I hope he gets better soon. I just want to make it clear that it wasn't me that kicked the ball, but I will find out who did it for him!"
