Could you offer one of these delightful dogs a home with your family?

The RSPCA Ipswich and East Suffolk is seeking suitable new owners for 11 canine companions at its Martlesham site, from Labrador puppy Buddy to 14-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier Cross Oddy, and the inseparable pair of pug-cross Alfie and shih tzu Bobby.

Animal care assistant Emma Thresh said that while they are keen to see the dogs rehomed, people interested should be prepared for the commitment.

“A dog is a lot of work,” she said. “We do ask that people don’t leave dogs for longer than four hours in a day. Give it a really good thought first and know what you are taking on because they do take up a lot of time, but they are so worth it.”

Anyone interested in adopting from the centre will be required to fill out an application form and have a home visit from staff.
