TWO police community support officers are inviting people to join them to clean up three beauty spots on the Felixstowe peninsula.

PCSOs Liz Lake and Amy Clarke, members of the Colneis Peninsula Safer Neighbourhood Team, are organising the event as part of the national Big Tidy Up campaign on Saturday September 20.

They are hoping people will join them to start at Nacton and work all the way down to Trimley, clearing litter along the banks of the River Orwell as they go.

The first event will start with a litter pick from 9am starting out from Nacton foreshore car park.

The second will start from Levington Creek car park at 10.30am and the third will meet at noon at the entrance to Trimley foreshore.

The officers are hoping groups, families and people on their own will join the Keep Britain Tidy event and turn up on the day to help out.
