A HEADTEACHER has asked the public to pray for the recovery of a young cricketer who was badly-injured in a collision with another player.

Philip Govier remains in a critical condition in hospital after the accident during a match at the weekend.

Philip Govier remains in a critical condition in hospital after the accident during a match at the weekend.

The 17-year-old suffered serious head injuries on Saturday when he was running to catch the ball and collided with a team-mate at Diss cricket ground.

The Diss second XI player and Hartismere sixth former, is in intensive care at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
