Poignant poster wins accolade for guides
A POSTER about the September 11 atrocities has helped two Girl Guides gain the highest accolade in guiding. Jade Brundle and Stephanie Gillingham's poignant drawing of two planes hitting a skyscraper was one of the tasks they completed as members of the guide pack which meets at Chantry High School, in Ipswich.

Jade Brundle and Stephanie Gillingham's poignant drawing of two planes hitting a skyscraper was one of the tasks they completed as members of the guide pack which meets at Chantry High School, in Ipswich.
They spurred each other on to complete all the challenges necessary to earn a Baden-Powell award.
The teenagers, aged 15 and 14 respectively, have worked towards the badge from the start of their guiding days under the leadership of Pat Balaam.
The challenges focused on a series of issues including global awareness, skills and relationships, discovering new experiences and healthy lifestyles.
Assistant guider Brenda Annison said the tasks culminated in a visit to Cambridge.

Jade, from Kestrel Road, said: "We spent the weekend in Cambridge in a group of nine guides from across Suffolk. We had to plan challenges for a group of girls our own age."
Stephanie, of Pendleton Road, said: "On the first day we found out about it, and then carried out a presentation."
