Police are urging people to lock their doors and windows following a burglary in Ipswich where entry was gained through a downstairs window.
The burglary happened between 11pm on Saturday, September 29, and 7.15am on Sunday, September 30, at a house in Pinecroft Road.
According to a police spokesman, the offenders gained entry to the property through an ‘insecure downstairs front window’.
The spokesman said once inside, a wallet was stolen.
In light of the crime, Suffolk police are encouraging people to get in the habit of completing a ‘9pm Routine’ - where residents are asked to complete checks on their vehicles, windows, doors and outbuildings each night.
Anyone with information about the Pinecroft Road burglary is asked to contact South CID at Landmark House in Ipswich, quoting reference 56263/18. Alternatively contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
