POLICE are investigating a road collision in which a 14 year-old girl was killed.
POLICE are investigating a fatal road crash in which a 14 year-old girl was killed.
The girl was taken to Colchester General Hospital, at about 4.50pm on Friday , after being struck by a car on Layer Road, Colchester, but died from her injuries.
A section of Layer Road was closed while emergency crews attended the scene.
A 27 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
He was questioned by officers last night and has now been released on unconditional bail to reappear at Colchester police station in May.
