POLICE have appealed for witnesses after an elderly woman was killed in a road accident in Cambridgeshire.

The pedestrian, whose age has not been released, was in Ermine Street, Great Stukeley, close to the junction with Church Road, when she was in an accident with a blue Toyota Corolla.
She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridgeshire where she died later.
The driver of the Toyota, a 23-year-old man from Huntingdon and a 22-year-old female passenger, also from Huntingdon, suffered minor injuries.
A three-year-old girl who was also in the car was uninjured.
Pc Tim Kirkby of the roads policing unit said: “There were a number of people in the area at the time of the accident.”
