POLICE in Ipswich are today investigating two street robberies in the town.

In the first, in Lindbergh Road, a 40-year-old man was hit round the face with a hard object.

His attacker approached him from behind at about 8.45pm yesterday and stole a jacket and keys.

In a separate incident a 14-year-old boy was robbed of cash and a phone as he walked along Rope Walk between 5.15pm and 5.30pm yesterday.

The teenager was approached by a man who demanded cash and made threats when the boy refused.

He handed over cash and was then frisked by the man, who stole his mobile phone from his pocket.
