ESSEX police are appealing for information after a man was racially attacked on New Years Day.

ESSEX police are appealing for information after a man was racially attacked on New Years Day.

The racially aggravated attack took place shortly after midnight on January 1 in Maldon Road in Danbury.

A group of men racially abused a 29-year-old man of Turkish origin, who was then kicked and punched - resulting in a dislocated shoulder and cuts and swelling to the face.

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Sergeant Stewart Eastbrook at South Woodham Ferrers Station on 0300 333 4444.
