IPSWICH Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a huge late night brawl outside a superstore.

The incident, which is thought to have involved dozens of youths, occurred between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Sunday evening.

Police now wish to speak to a number of people who were seen standing around a red Vauxhall Astra seen in the car park of the Asda store in Whitehouse at the time.

Detective Inspector Harold Hayward said: "We are confident that these people would have witnessed the incident which took place and would urge them to come forward with any information they may have.

"Equally people may have been in the area at the time using the cash machines at the store, getting petrol at the garage or visiting McDonalds and would ask them to call us."

Five men, aged between 15 and 27, have been arrested in relation to the incident and are on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Any information would greatly help the police with their investigations and witnesses are asked to call Ipswich Police on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
