POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man at the V Festival.
The 50-year-old from Chelmsford was punched in the face after asking a man to stop bothering a group of girls.
When the victim fell to the floor the suspect jumped on the man's left leg, breaking it in two places.
The incident took place between 4pm and 8pm on Sunday August 23 in the Arena stage tent.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s of large build with short brown hair and a tanned complexion.
The victim reported the incident to Essex Police last Friday.
