A man wanted by police was arrested near Cardinal Park in Ipswich on Thursday night.
The man was arrested at the junction of Grafton Way and Commercial Road at around 7pm. Three police cars were parked at the junction while the man was arrested. He was taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
When asked what the man was arrested for, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said: βHe was wanted on warrant.β Despite requests, the force spokesman did not provide further details.
Officers, including a police dog, were called to the scene during the incident. Police could be seen speaking to members of the public on the nearby Princes Street.
