Police are investigating the assault
Police were called to a level crossing in Trimley St Mary this morning after reports that the crossing was not working.
Suffolk police and British Transport Police officers attended shortly after 1.30am to the High Road level crossing.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said there had been a failure at the crossing, and BTP officers were at the scene.
