Police deal with avalanche of calls

Police were today under siege as it emerged they have had to deal with 4,000 calls in the hunt for the Suffolk serial killer.

A further 2,000 calls have been made to the incident since yesterday morning, when Det Ch Supt Stewart Gull revealed that more than 2,000 calls had been received.

Police are now understood to be looking for a fat man in a BMW car, and are also carrying out detailed examination of clothes and a handbag found in Shotley and Ipswich.
