POLICE in Ipswich are becoming increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of a 14-year-old boy who has not been seen by his family since yesterday morning.

Daniel Shields left his home in the Gainsborough area of Ipswich at approximately 10.30am yesterday, telling his mother he was going to play football with his friends in either Landseer Park or at Gainsborough sports centre. He said he would be home later that evening.

His family have informed police it is completely out of character for Daniel to stay away from home and not make them aware of his whereabouts.
