SUFFOLK police are today trying to trace a third missing woman.

SUFFOLK police are today trying to trace a third missing woman.

In the wake of prostitutes Tania Nicol, 19, and Gemma Adams, 25, going missing, it has today been revealed that a third woman - 27-year-old Kerry Samain - has not been seen in the town for more than a month.

Police received the information following the publicity about the two other missing women.

Kerry has not been seen since attending an appointment in the town centre on October 5. She is of no fixed address and is known to drink out on the streets of the town centre.

Detective chief inspector David Cutler, who is overseeing efforts to trace her, said: “We want to hear from either Kerry herself or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, as a matter of urgency.

“We will be conducting enquiries in the town centre overnight to see if anyone can shed any light on Kerry's whereabouts.

“It may be that Kerry has decided to leave Ipswich, as we know she has links with other areas, including Essex.”

Detective Superintendent Andy Henwood, who is leading the enquiry into the disappearance of the other two women, said: “There is nothing to link this enquiry with those into the disappearance of Tania and Gemma.

“However, the public can help us with out enquiries into all three women by phoning us if they have information.”

Kerry is white, slim, 5ft 3ins, with dark brown shoulder-length hair. She has a spotty complexion and brown eyes. She is known to wear a black padded long coat and black trousers.

Anyone with information on the missing women is asked to call Suffolk police on 01473 613500.
