Police have discovered a mini-cannabis factory during a raid on a property near Ipswich railway station.
Timothy Cracknell, a spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary, said: “Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a flat in Willoughby Road, Ipswich, on Wednesday.
“55 small cannabis plants were seized as a result of this warrant, along with a bag of herbal cannabis and a range of propagation equipment.
“A 35-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has been released under investigation pending further police enquiries.”
Meanwhile, in a separate inquiry, two men are on police bail until May 18 after an estimated £16,500 of cannabis was found at a house in Shackleton Road, Ipswich, on March 30.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intention to supply drugs, other than class A.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of cannabis.
