POLICE officers have finished searching land near the Suffolk and Norfolk border.

The land near Hopton next to the A12 was closed after a member of the public reported seeing suspicious activity in the area at about 11.30pm on Sunday.
The road has now reopened.
Police spokesman Jenna Smith said: “Officers have now completed their search and have not found anything consistent with the report we received from the member of the public.”
She added that during the search the police did uncover the carcass of a dog in a black bag.
The Norfolk Fire Service helped light the area during the initial hours of the search and a police helicopter was brought in to hunt for any clues.
