Police helicopter deployed after high value stolen bike seen in Holywells Park

The police helicopter was deployed over Holywells Park in Ipswich after a valuable stolen bike was spotted.

Police were alerted at 4.36pm and officers covered the entrances of the park to ensure the cycle didn’t leave the area.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman said the “high value stolen pedal cycle” was seen with a group of five youths, who dumped the bike and ran off.

At 7.30pm, police said the bike had been retrieved by officers.
