POLICE are today hunting a spotty robber who held up a shop worker at knifepoint in Essex.

The man, who was wearing a hoodie, went into the Star Co-Op in Havengore, Chelmsford and demanded cash from the woman behind the counter.

He then made off on foot with a three-figure sum of money and a cash box.

The shop worker was not hurt but was left “quite shaken” by the ordeal at about 9.40pm last night.

The robber was about 25, slim, with light brown hair, spotty complexion and was wearing a hooded navy blue top with a thick silver horizontal stripe on it.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and white trainers and may have had a white cap underneath the hooded top.
