POLICE in Essex are searching for an armed man who raided a Co-op store and later brandished a gun at a motorist following a road accident.
The raider stole hundreds of pounds in cash from a Co-op store at Grays, near Tilbury, at 5.40pm on Saturday.
He made off in a Ford Probe car which crashed into a Vauxhall Omega a few minutes later.
The single raider pointed a weapon at the driver of the other car before running away. The gun was not fired and no one was hurt in either incident.
Police said a single man was involved in the incidents. He was white, believed to be in his early 20s, and was more than six feet tall.
