Police hunt escaped convicts

POLICE are hunting two prisoners who are on the run after escaping from Hollesley Bay.

Shane Mitchell and Barry Dove disappeared from the prison's open unit some time between 7.

POLICE are hunting two prisoners who are on the run after escaping from Hollesley Bay.

Shane Mitchell and Barry Dove disappeared from the prison's open unit some time between 7.30pm yesterday and 8.15am today.

Both men were serving sentences for theft – Mitchell two months and Dove four months.

Mitchell, 21, has a dragon tattoo on his upper right arm and is described as white and 5ft 11ins tall, with an average build for his height.

He has brown hair and blue eyes and is known to have connections in north Norfolk.

Dove, 23, has tattoos on his left forearm and knuckles and is described as white and 5ft 6ins tall, also with a medium build for his height.

He has brown hair and brown eyes and a scar under his right eye.

Police have urged people not to approach either of the criminals. Anyone who thinks they have seen the pair should contact their local police station or Woodbridge Station on 01473 613500.
